Industrial Vacuum Cleaner Filter Materials

Industrial vacuum cleaners primarily separate solids and air through filter media. Common industrial vacuum cleaners on the market generally have single or double filtration. For example, wet/dry vacuum cleaners use a single-layer filter cartridge, while dry industrial vacuum cleaners employ a dual filtration system of filter cartridges and filter bags. The filter cartridge typically has a filtration accuracy of around 10 microns, which can be reduced to below 1 micron through membrane coating or the use of special materials. Filter cloths are often made of non-woven fabric or polyester needle-punched felt, and different manufacturing processes can maintain an accuracy of around 0.5 microns.

Some companies have achieved even higher filtration accuracy and significantly improved air purification by modifying the filter media and adding stages. For instance, Beijing Tanglin Electronic Technology Research Institute (Geweilaide) commonly uses double or higher filtration methods: three-stage filtration for dry powder, dual filtration for wet/dry vacuum cleaners, and quadruple filtration for welding fume vacuum cleaners. By modifying and upgrading the filter media, such as using high-efficiency particulate air (HTPE) filters, the applications of industrial vacuum cleaners can be expanded, and their performance can be significantly improved.
