Scraping is a labor-intensive process in metalworking. The worker holds the scraper handle, placing the blade on the surface of the workpiece, and supports the other end against their abdomen. Using the strength of their abdomen, they scrape away protruding parts of the surface, achieving a certain number of contact points per square centimeter between the two surfaces, or achieving a precise fit. Scraping is categorized into rough scraping, fine scraping, pattern scraping, and spot scraping.
Electric scrapers operate on a similar principle to hand scrapers, using a motor to generate high-frequency vibrations for scraping. The reciprocating stroke can vary evenly within 0-20 mm, increasing productivity by more than double compared to manual scraping, and significantly improving quality (achieving a Grade 1 surface finish). The operator only needs to carry the tool and adapt to the scraping motion, greatly reducing labor intensity. Furthermore, different blades and stroke adjustments can create various patterns.
